Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our artisanal wall finishes.
What makes Limewash paint different from standard acrylic paint?
Limewash is a mineral-based finish made from crushed limestone and natural pigments. Unlike synthetic paints, it is breathable, eco-friendly, and creates a unique, textured aesthetic with subtle tonal variations.
How many coats of Limewash are required for full coverage?
We typically recommend two coats applied with a masonry brush in a 'criss-cross' motion. This technique ensures the characteristic mottled appearance and provides durable coverage.
What is your shipping policy for heavy buckets?
We offer flat-rate ground shipping across the continental US. Due to the weight of our mineral paints, orders are securely palletized or double-boxed to ensure they arrive without leaks or damage.
Can I return a custom-mixed color?
Because our colors are mixed to order using natural pigments, we cannot accept returns on opened or custom-tinted buckets. We strongly suggest ordering a sample pot first to test the color in your home's lighting.
Is Limewash suitable for bathrooms or high-moisture areas?
Yes, but we recommend applying our specialized mineral sealer over the Limewash in high-moisture areas like bathrooms to protect the finish from water spotting while maintaining breathability.
Do you offer trade discounts for interior designers?
Absolutely. We have a dedicated trade program for architects, designers, and contractors. Please submit your business credentials through our 'Trade' page to receive exclusive volume pricing.
